Our Story

Ron & Arlene are the familiar faces behind the highly rated “Lilys” in Mt. Shasta, a restaurant icon because of its great reputation and outstanding food.

They had been looking for a new location after 13 ½ years of running the food and beverage concessions at Montclair Golf Club in Oakland. Mt. Shasta seemed like the perfect place to live.  They loved the mountains, the beauty and solitude of the Mt. Shasta area.  So in 1996, when they found out Lilys was for sale by Bob & Pauline Shipley, they couldn’t pass it up.  Lilys Restaurant was now their new passion.

Over the years, Lilys developed its reputation as a destination restaurant.  People still travel across the country and make a point to stop at Lilys & enjoy fine dining in a cottage setting.  Many people drive up from Redding and others who have heard of Lilys drop by as they are traveling through.

Their commitment to food quality and freshness, and friendly staff add to the delightful ambiance of Lilys restaurant. Their Chefs include graduates from Culinary Schools and those with years of experience in hands-on cooking.  They are all creative, innovative and love to cook.

Lilys Restaurant in Mt. Shasta, offers wonderful catering services for small to large groups.  They’ve catered for large groups (i.e. 435 people for the Mercy Hospital at Mt. Shasta) and small groups alike (Yes, 2 people enjoyed their catering services!).

Since Ron & Arlene bought Lilys, their goal was the same as it is now; to bring innovative food to a community that wanted creative, fresh, and exciting food.   Their “farm to table” concept uses the freshest and organic ingredients whenever possible.  Their menu also has options for gluten-free and vegan entrees.
